Wife of Bath
In Chauncer's tale, the Wife of Bath gives off a strong opinionated image. He lengthy prologue discusses her overview on men, marraige, and sex. Her beliefs are opposite of the norms of society. She believes women hold the power over men and should be able to manipulate them as they please. In her prologue she give a synopsis of her five marraiges which is her justification for her beliefs. In her tale, she further explains why it is important that women gain control and power over men. In my opinion, the wife is a unstable creature that is lacking love. She does not recognize the meaning of true love and has not experienced it either. She has the definition of marraige wrong, and does not understand the meaning of happiness.

I agree. She is lacking true love and doesn't know what she's missing. She doesn't know what she wants. I feel you. That's kind of ironic how that coorelates to real life, huh.
